Palm Beach

The Palm Beach House is a 3 storey house overlooking Pittwater, north of Sydney.

The house is designed as a series of platforms stepping up the hillside in a manner that evokes the character of its setting – steep slopes, rock outcrops, projecting ledges and overhanging canopies.

The house is entered at its middle level – a vast platform stretched across the site uniformly paved with igneous stone, overlooking the ocean.

The house, which includes lifts, cellars, saunas, numerous terraces and balconies, boat storage, dual kitchens and so on, offers a series of unusual juxtapositions, such as the swimming pool projected out over the hill, the kitchen opening into the rocks behind and a massive roof garden.
